BigHook occurs at The Airplane House, 66 Hinckley Road, Woods Hole MA 02543. It was a struggle, but today the address renders correctly in Google Maps. The walking directions to the Airplane House on Google Maps are almost correct - see static map below for a better depiction.

Driving from NYC to Woods Hole takes 4.5 hours without traffic without dawdling. If you leave NYC at 8 AM AND make a clean getaway AND keep your speed in the 70s as much as possible AND make one short pit stop, you'll be in time for lunch. Better to leave earlier. Once you leave NYC traffic will be light because the rush hour is decidedly inbound.

Amtrak, fuggedaboudit. Unless you plan to take Uber/Lyft from Providence RI to Woods Hole.

The two best airports for BigHook are Boston (BOS) and Providence (PVD). PVD is a small airport and traffic is better than Boston Logan Airport. If you want to rent a car, consider routing through PVD.

Boston traffic sucks but airline schedules are better at BOS. "The Big Dig" has made Boston Logan traffic a bit less intolerable, but still nasty at busy hours. But bus service from Logan to Woods Hole is way better than PVD (caution - the last bus is at 7:15 PM). More transportation details here.

Uber/Lyft from the airports is a sometimes-affordable option these days. I've gotten estimates between $100 and $250 for BOS to Woods Hole . . . I have not tried PVD to Woods Hole.

Lodging establishments, The Woods Hole Inn, The Sands of Time, and Treehouse Lodge (formerly Sleepy Hollow) are shown below. Contact these places directly - they all know BigHook, set aside a block of rooms, and might offer small discounts or other amenities.

Airbnb might offer some options these days, but PLEASE be aware that parking at the Airplane House - and all over Woods Hole - is very scarce, and we strongly prefer you to walk from your lodging to the Airplane House.
